celebrated kenzie's 1st birthday yesterday at the hacienda country club. this was her birthday cake!! tons of fruit and very tasty.  there was soooo much cake left... nearly half, or was there more?? anyways, t'was delicious and tasty.

the mister and i finally got a chance to make it to the beach this summer.  the weather this summer has been really off lately... it'll be nice and sunny at home, but drive west 5 miles and bam! overcast. *sad face* but today... we got lucky! we kept driving past knob hill and lo behold... clear blue skies! it was a beautiful day to spend some quiet time at the beach... napping, tanning, and relaxing.

awesome. zero traffic on driving into work at 8am on the 405 north. this is how the 405 should be every day! carmageddon should happen more often. really. no joke. we should make this a weekly event.... shoot, let's make it a daily event!
